Acting and Movement Classes Coming to Wellness Center in January

By Bonnie East

The Big Canoe Community Theater and Performing Arts Club is thrilled to offer a three-part Movement Series, offered once a month for the first quarter of 2023, led by holistic therapist Janna Diamond. This will be an exceptional opportunity for participants to have guidance on movement and body awareness. Janna states, “We’ll have fun by loosening up our muscles and joints, releasing tension and stress and learning how to become more expressive through our whole bodies. Increase your self-awareness and expand your movement toolbox. All bodies and ability levels are welcome!”

Janna Diamond

Start date for Movement Class is Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Classes are on the fourth Wednesday of January, February, and March. Cost is $20 per person and includes all three classes.  Anyone interested should email bigcanoetheater@gmail.com to sign up.

Are you interested in exploring your creativity and having some fun at the same time? If so, join this Acting 101 class, offered by Jeff Kurtz, as we explore the foundations and art of acting through exercises, games, improvisations, and some light scene work. Whether you’ve acted before or want to explore it for the first time, this class will help you expand your imagination, build trust and confidence in yourself and others, and allow you to play more freely.  All ages and abilities are welcome.
