Thanks to everyone who participated in the 2020 Big Canoe Women’s Club Championship. The weather was phenomenal and the best we’ve had all year with cool, comfortable temperatures and no precipitation.
Lydell, Kit, Joey and their crew have done an incredible job this year and the course conditions were just fantastic for the tournament.
Kristi, David, and the Clubhouse Banquet Team did a great job with food and presentation. Andrew and Justin always do a fantastic job coordinating this event and the work that goes on behind the scenes and should be commended as well.
Congratulations to Ellen MacArthur for her strong and consistent play over two days, becoming Women’s Club Champion for an amazing third consecutive year. Congratulations to Janet Vandenbark for her equally stellar play, having two of her strongest rounds of the year and capturing the 2020 Net Championship.
Finally, congratulations to all flight winners. We hope you enjoyed yourselves. Thanks again!
Big Canoe Men’s Club Championship
Thank you to all golfers who participated in the Men’s Club Championship. The weather was not ideal for Round One, but was much improved and pleasurable for Round Two.
Each division was quite competitive throughout. We cannot say enough about Lydell, Kit, Joey and their crew and the work they have done this year, providing us with fantastic course conditions.
Also, a special thanks to Kristi, David, and the Food & Beverage Team for their phenomenal job with food and presentation.
Last but certainly not least, Andrew and Justin have done an amazing job coordinating behind the scenes efforts after long hours and a long week of events.
We are so fortunate to have such a talented staff.
Congratulations to Scott Abner for his consistently strong play, carding one under in both rounds, for a two under gross total and being crowned 2020 Club Champion. Impressive, Scott, well done!
Congratulations to Ed Tomblin for his equally stellar play, earning a blistering 87 points and becoming 2020 Net Club Champion. Great job, Ed!
Congratulations to Joe Marushak for his strong play over two days, shooting a total of 8-over par, and holding off several contenders to earn his second straight title of Senior Club Champion. Way to finish strong, Joe, and defend your title.
The Senior Net Club Championship was decided by a playoff on Cherokee #9 where Chuck Holcombe narrowly defeated Barry Kaufman with a strong up and down for par. Exciting finish, Chuck, well deserved!
Congratulations to Barry Kaufman for earning Super Senior Championship honors after his close playoff, narrowly defeating Tim Towle by two points. Awesome, Barry!
Again, thank you all for playing and we look forward to seeing you continuing to hone your games throughout the fall months.
