Crawl over and enjoy a feast for your eyes

By Alice Eachus

There will be plenty to see and buy at the Spring Arts and Crafts Crawl where Big Canoe’s incredible artsy talent will shine.

This is a festival showcasing the work of our artists on many stages. The Crawl will take place on Saturday, April 17 from 10 am until 4 pm in the parking area at Northgate Station, right across from Big Canoe’s North Gate. Real close and handy.

A silver squill and air plant arrangement is one of several one-of-a-kind creations Laura McDonald of Willow Gate Gardens will have for sale.

Rain date is April 24.

The array of offerings is awesome. Eager shoppers can discover pottery, garden ornaments, painted pillows, crafted wind chimes, holiday gnomes, colorfully painted wood blocks, handcrafted greeting cards, paintings of every kind, house plants, gourmet foods, painted glassware, jewelry, embellished linens and so much more!

All that shopping is sure to make crawlers hungry so Sourwood Restaurant has picnic lunches available to keep tummies happy. Lunch will be offered from noon until 2 pm.

You won’t want to miss this art and craft extravaganza where there will be something to catch all eyes. What a glorious way to welcome spring to our mountains
