Festival @ The Terraces August 6 – Something for Everyone

By Beth Herren

Back by popular demand, the Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Fellowship is proud to present Festival @ The Terraces on August 6, from 10 to 4. After all, what is summer without a festival? And what better spot to hold a festival than the Terraces on Steve Tate Road? Enjoy the day while helping the Women’s Fellowship fundraising efforts. Proceeds from this event are used to support local charities devoted to helping women and children in need. There will be a dynamic lineup of talented Big Canoe musicians for everyone’s enjoyment starting at noon We’ve also got you covered when those stomachs start growling as the Big Canoe Chapel Men’s Fellowship will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs, while the Women’s Fellowship Bakery serves up baked goods, cookies and muffins to tempt anyone with a sweet tooth. There will even be a table for children to make a craft. Please leave pets at home as they are not allowed at the Terraces.

The shopping extravaganza will feature vendors offering everything from A to Z! Imagine booth after booth offering jewelry, pottery, artwork, photographs, gourmet tapenades, jams/jellies, handmade gifts, plants, soaps, wind chimes, candles, pillows and rum cakes, just to name a few.  Admittance to the day festivities (no checks please) is $5 for adults, $3 for children with two and under free. Drop your name in the box for a chance to win several door prizes. The Festival @ The Terraces truly promises to have something for everyone so put August 6 on your calendar.  Direct questions to Debbie Jones at WomensFellowship@bigcanoechapel.org.
