Make St. Pat’s your lucky, golden day

By Alice Eachus

The luck of the Irish be with ye on the day we celebrate St. Pat. If we can’t raise golden glasses elbow-to-elbow, maybe leaping leprechauns will toss gold coins our way. Ye never know.
Just don’t wear a badge that demands, “Kiss me, I’m Irish!” Social distancing, ye know.
The clubhouse will toast the Irish on March 17 with a Gaelic menu sure to tickle your fancy. Clubhouse chefs are planning a feast: corned beef and cabbage, Reuben sandwiches, shepherd’s pie and more. Guinness stout will be on tap along with other beer specials. Irish fare will be served all day.
C’mon out and show your green, maybe a shamrock mask would add a touch of whimsy to your mug. Be merry and proud, even if not a dash of Irish can be claimed. These days, any day with friends is cause for celebration, but especially when Irish eyes are smiling. But beware, those smiling Irish eyes usually mean a lass is up to something.
