Pump it up at Public Works

Information submitted by Jacob VanSant

You know what happens when warm weather heads our way, don’t you? Vehicle tires get wacky as heat plays havoc with tire pressure.

To keep safe and avoid exciting road explosions, Public Works can give you a hand.

There’s a tire inflator machine located at the left side of the Public Works administration building. A valve turns the machine on and off, just like a water valve. The air pump is available 24 hours a day so it’s really convenient. And it’s free!

Unless you’re really good at guessing games, you better have a tire gauge in your pocket. You’ll need one to check the air pressure you’re loading in your tires.
