Expect plenty of activity around at the Racquet Club starting next week as preparations for renovation to the facility are scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 17.
Racquet Club will start relocating equipment to the Indoor Tennis Center in the Wellness Center, which will provide the Racquet Club amenity with its temporary offices throughout the scheduled work. The move will be completed in time for the renovation of the Racquet Club Pro Shop, which starts on Tuesday, Nov. 1. The project is scheduled to run into spring 2023.
Please plan for occasional parking disruptions and traffic stoppages along that nearby section of Wolfscratch Circle as crews work to repair the Pro Shop’s foundation, replace its insulation and sheetrock, remodel the bathroom, rebuild the staircases to the three-tiered parking lot, and address other issues.
Although outdoor courts for pickleball and tennis will remain open per their usual schedule during the renovation, Racquet Club parking will move to spaces along the access road behind hard courts 7 and 8. The pickleball parking lot will be closed to serve as a staging and storage area for the scheduled renovations.
During this renovation and relocation, all members should use the reservation system for tennis or pickleball on the POA website to ensure they’ve secured their court.
