The Wildflower Bunch Needs Volunteers

By Jocelyn Smith

The Wildflower Bunch is still looking for more volunteers for several board and committee chair positions and would welcome any current members who would like to serve. Please contact Cheryl Jones at cmjones8195@gmail.com for any questions and to volunteer

As we wind down this year’s events, we welcomed some enthusiastic gardeners at the new member reception in September and were entertained at the feature event by Sam Landes, of the Georgia Mushroom Club when he spoke about “Identifying Native Mushrooms.” Many members submitted dozens of pictures of stunning mushrooms growing in and around Big Canoe which he was able to identify and share some fun facts about each one. Highlights of his presentation are in the feature article for WFB this month.

The upcoming remaining 2022 events include the following presenters and topics: Oct. 5 – Allan DeNiro, on Big Canoe Community Garden and remember to save Nov. 16 for our premier Fall fundraising event just in time for a little holiday shopping.

COME GROW WITH US and join our group! The Wildflower Bunch membership is open to any Big Canoe resident and is available throughout the year. Check out our website, https://wildflowerbunch.com/ or visit our Facebook page for real-time updates.
