2022 Veterans Day Events in Big Canoe Coming in November

In November, Big Canoe will be honoring those who served in the armed forces at a special Chapel event and through the military tribute banner display scheduled around the Veterans Day holiday.

All are invited to celebrate our country and the veterans who have served at the Community Veterans Day Ceremony at the Big Canoe Chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Attendees can expect inspiring presentations, choral performances of patriotic music, and a special community tribute.

Banners honoring deceased veterans will be raised along the Wilderness Parkway on Lake Petit Dam on Saturday, Nov. 5. These military tribute banners recognize both those who died in action along with veterans who have passed away after serving. Each banner, which is sponsored by a Big Canoe Property Owner, will fly along the dam until lowered on the morning of Saturday, Nov. 19. The banners will also go up for two-week periods that include Memorial Day and Independence Day.
