Women’s Fellowship to Make Christmas Special for Residents at Pruitt Nursing Home in Jasper

By Beth Herren

In keeping with years of tradition, the Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Fellowship will be bringing gifts this holiday season to the residents of Pruitt Nursing Home in Jasper. There is nothing like a special gift to bring joy to these shut-ins.

In addition to the gifts, the residents and staff will enjoy holiday treats at a Christmas party complete with festive holiday decorations. This committee will spare nothing to make this a special day for all.  Please consider donating a new, unwrapped item.

Some appropriate gift items include men or women’s sweaters, sweatpants, sweatshirts, socks, or slippers. In addition, consider wallets, jewelry, purses, soft pillows, fleece blanket throws, candy, hygiene kits, and other personal items. A marked donation box will be located outside the Chapel Office from November 3 to December 4. Just place a new, unwrapped gift in the donation box to put smiles on their faces and joy in their hearts during this Christmas season. Thank you in advance for your support and please direct questions to Catherine Capps at WomensFellowship@bigcanoechapel.org.

Open to all women, Big Canoe Chapel Women’s Fellowship is a welcoming community-wide organization whose activities enrich members’ lives and create a legacy of caring and giving in the North Georgia area. To learn more please go to our website, women.bigcanoechapel.com.
