How many projects have you started that didn’t have a surprise or two crop up, enough to widen your eyes and gasp, “Oh no, this can’t be happening!”
The renovation of the Creek golf course is coming along well, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t a few “Ah, ha!” moments as the earth moved.
Golf Maintenance has been surprised a few times when running into buried utilities where they didn’t expect them to be. Some shaping and two tee boxes had to be altered to avoid power, sewer, irrigation or drainage pipes.
Since Creek was designed and built a long time ago, there are no drawings or blueprints for the existing infrastructure. This makes it a bit more challenging for equipment operators to scale and dig.
It’s all in a day’s work, and our guys just carry on.
