Big Canoe weather advisory for Thursday, Jan. 6

The National Weather Service this afternoon put out a winter weather advisory for Thursday for north Georgia forecasting that “a wintry mix of snow and sleet is possible. Friday morning temperatures drop into the teens and low 20s with strong northwest winds. Wind chill values are anticipated to drop into the single digits in the north Georgia mountains and into the teens across most of north Georgia,” according to the National Weather Service

As a result of the forecast, please consider rearranging your schedule for Thursday afternoon in case travel conditions become too severe. As always, err on the side of caution and avoid travel.
