Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men, women and people of most racial and ethnic groups in the U.S.
One person dies every 36 seconds in the U.S. from cardiovascular disease.
About 369,000 people in the USA die from heart disease each year – that’s one in four deaths.
Heart disease costs the U.S. about $363 billion each year

When it comes to heart disease, there are a lot of myths out there. Let’s set the facts straight and raise awareness about cardiac disease, the number one killer of Americans. Dr. Kashyap Patel, with Northside Hospital Cardiovascular Institute, will share the top ways you can prevent coronary artery disease or avoid experiencing a potentially deadly or debilitating cardiovascular event such as a heart attack.
