Turning black thumbs green

Fields of green are forming a strikingly lush scene at the Wildcat Pavilion. This is the day Big Canoe gardeners were “planting” for – the annual Wildflower Bunch Plant Sale.

COVID-19 nipped the sale in the bud last year so anticipation was high to get down and dirty once again.

Hundreds of houseplants, bushes, trees and hanging baskets are creating a canopy of green at Wildcat as vendors make the best of a sunny but cool spring day. Garden decorations fill tables too, adding a touch of whimsy for yards blooming with joy.

The plant sale runs Friday, April 30 until 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Don’t miss your chance to dig with some of the most knowledgeable gardeners in Big Canoe. They would love to share dirt with you and help create your lush landscape to welcome the warm summer months ahead.

Come get so excited you just might wet your plants!
